A Tribute to Heidi

The purpose of this site is our love letter to Heidi: to share her achievements and beautiful work. Heidi taught for our organization several times and was also committed to expand her knowledge - participating in many of our educational events.

"Snapshots" and biographical material may be from varied sources and we would appreciate if any authors would let us know if this is their original material so that they can be credited for it.

"Teaching people what I have learned within my craft of wedding photography to help them more effectively communicate, is what gives my life significance," Heidi Mauracher commented upon the completion of her first Training CD for Software Cinema. On March 14, 2003, Heidi succumbed to cancer. All who knew her, all who were inspired by her, will miss her dearly.

Software Cinema is one of several institutions that will support the creation of the Heidi Mauracher Memorial Photographic Educational Foundation. This Foundation is designed to generate donations for the creation of scholarships to aid photographic students in need. For every $35 donation to Heidi's Foundation, Software Cinema will send you Heidi's Training CD, "Wedding Photography." 100% of the $35 donation will go directly to Heidi's Foundation. ($5.00 s/h charge applies). In supporting her Foundation this way, Software Cinema feels they can help keep her "significance" alive, while supporting the photographic educational community. I have just been asked by the family to inform you that Heidi Mauracher passed away this afternoon (Friday 3/14/04) with (her fiance) Jim by her side. She was surrounded by love and she is now at peace. Thanks for all your prayers and good wishes. They made her smile. Please pass this information on to whomever you feel needs to know.
