Course Description

Certification is the most widely recognized consumer credential. Consumers seek out certified professionals, as the public recognizes certification as a sign that one is an authority in the field. A Certified Photographer designation offers potential clients an assurance, not just of quality but also of technical skill and artistic expertise.

Certification requires passing a written exam measuring technical expertise, and successfully submitting images to a panel of judges for review and approval.

In this 2.5 day* course our instructor will share with participants what it takes to become a CPP. Studying and preparing for the CPP exam, participants will refresh and expand their knowledge of technical aspects of photography, as well as business and industry issues.

Participants may purchase the instructor’s workbook for $39 (optional). Alternatively, the standard text by London and Upton ($126.67) is recommended. These costs are not included in the course tuition.

*The written certification exam will be offered in the afternoon of the third day. Separate registration and fee is required to enter the certification process. Please see http://www.certifiedphotographer.com or email PPCC@certifiedphotographer.com or phone: 888/772-2780 for details.

PPA members will receive one achievement merit for attending this course.
